Christmas Hampers

 Every year the Christmas Hamper committee in cooperation with SSVP at St Michael Catholic Community, prepares Christmas Hampers for those supported by SSVP and other families referred from our parish and schools.

Each Hamper contains groceries, a grocery gift card to purchase a turkey and perishables and gifts for all school-age children.

Food Hamper

 Provides emergency food hampers and assistance meeting basic needs. to economically-vulnerable people in Calgary. We support the communities of Cougar Ridge, West Springs, Aspen Woods, Patterson, Coach Hill, Wildwood, Spruce Cliff, Shaganappi, Rosscarrock, Westgate, Christy Park, Strathcona, and Prominence Point.

Home Visits

Vincentians visit the homes of our friends who require assistance. Our Home Visits is to provide support, comfort, and essential services to vulnerable individuals and families, helping to restore their dignity. We assess their needs, support them with rents and utilities and direct them to resources that will help them become independent,

Partnership of Hope

Since 2006, Partnership of Hope has supported a number of refuge families sponsored by he St Michaels Catholic Community. Vincentians support the Partnership of Hope program by delivering weekly food hampers, home visits to help the families to adjust in their new environment in the first year of their arrival

Twinning

In September 2013, we twinned with Conferenzia Reina de la Paz located in the isolated mountainous region of Guatemala and welcomed St. Francis Youth Conference.  Under this program we provide financial Assistance, that is used to help individual cases  for medical needs and support the Coffee and Bees project.
